Friends and fellow foodies, celebrity chef Dharshan Munidase and star cricketers Mahela Jayawardene & Kumar Sangakkara created Ministry of Crab as a celebration of Sri Lanka’s seafood, particularly of her wonderfully sweet and succulent crabs. After years of success, Ministry of Crab has now partnered with Barbarossa to open its first international outlet in Shanghai.
All three founders are celebrities in their own right, but they insist that The Crabs are the ‘stars of the show’ at Ministry of Crab, with signature dishes such as Chili Crab, Pepper Crab and Baked Crab on the menu. Also highlighted are the amazing Sri Lankan King Prawns complimented with a range of delectable accompaniments (a selection of bread, rice and vegetarian dishes.) Ministry of Crab is a culinary experience that will keep you coming back for more!
In addition to a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen, the first floor also has 2 luxurious private dining rooms for special occasions.
